A Real Lemon

The saddest thing about this sign is that I actually read it. Who does that?

HUH??

I think this is supposed to say "Clearance items!"

However, the $ instead of an "s", the apostrophe, and the three exclamation marks are confusing. Clearly the people at Grandma's Attic are more concerned with tuning instruments and smoking pot than correct grammar.

Was that too mean?

It's means it is!

Usually, apostrophe-s means a word is possessive. That is not the case with it's and its. It's is the contraction for "it is", while "its" is the possessive. This was my problem rule growing up; just remember, throw that apostrophe out with its trash!

Yes, Let's

I have to look at this disgrace every time I work. Let's, dangit, let's!

Fickle Shoe Store

Sheesh, if you're going to forget apostrophes, at least be consistent about it!

Your amazing what?

A classic example of someone who has not learned the difference between "your" and "you're".
